PacifAI

AI for contractors, in plain English.

Most of what we teach happens on the free AI briefing: a 20–30 minute lesson by phone or Zoom, built around how contracting businesses run. Here's the short version to start.

AI, explained plainly

Think of AI as four parts. It's the same picture we draw on the free briefing.

Example: a foreman's voice memo
“Tell the Jensens drywall slips to Thursday. And they want two more can lights in the hall.”
  1. 1

    The brain

It understands and decides. It reads a messy text, email or voicemail and works out what's meant.

In the example: Hears a schedule change and a change order in one voice memo.

  2. 2

    The binder

Your business knowledge: prices, past jobs, policies. It looks things up instead of guessing, so it can say “I don't know.”

In the example: Finds the Jensen job, your can-light price and your change-order form.

  3. 3

    The hands

The tools it's allowed to use: phone, calendar, email, QuickBooks, Buildertrend. They turn answers into finished work.

In the example: Texts the homeowner the new date, moves drywall in the schedule and drafts the change order.

  4. 4

    You're the boss

You decide what it does alone, what needs your OK, and when a person takes over.

In the example: The change order has a price on it, so it waits for your OK.

When you tried ChatGPT, you met the brain. The value comes when all four work inside how your business already runs.

What you'll learn on the free briefing

It's a lesson, not a pitch. We use examples from shops like yours, and you can ask anything.

  1. 1

    What AI actually is

The brain, the binder, the hands and you as the boss, shown on jobs like yours.

  2. 2

What it's good at, and what it's bad at

It guesses when it doesn't have your information. It isn't 100% reliable without a check. And it can't swing a hammer.

  3. 3

Where it pays in a contracting business

Office hours, estimate follow-up, chasing subs and payments, and calls missed on the job.

  4. 4

    The four-question test

Is a task right for AI? It happens often, it follows a pattern, it's mostly talking, reading, writing or typing, and it costs you when it's slow or missed.

  5. 5

    How your data is handled

What to ask any AI provider about your information, and how we answer those questions.

  6. 6

How to start without wasting money

Map the work, measure the leaks, fix the biggest one first, and keep people in control.

If there's a fit, we'll explain how the audit works at the end. If not, you keep everything you learned.
