PacifAIfor professional firms

Understand what AI can do for your firm before you spend a dollar on it.

PacifAI is an AI consulting and custom software company. We teach professional firms what AI can really do, then build software around how your firm already runs. Built inside Clio, QuickBooks, TaxDome and the tools you already run, with a person at your firm approving anything that matters.

Book a free AI briefing

Free. 20–30 minutes. Phone or Zoom. It's a lesson, not a pitch.

Start with the basics
  • A person approves anything that reaches a client.
  • Built around software you already pay for.
  • Confidential by design.

Activity

  1. Reviewed by attorney

  2. Signed by client

Example of a custom workflow. Illustrative; names fictional.

AI, explained plainly.

Think of AI as four parts. It's the same picture we draw on the free briefing.

Example: a six-email thread becomes a reviewed engagement letter
“We'd like to do the will and the trust before June. A flat fee is fine. What do you need from us?”
  1. The brain

It understands and decides. It reads a messy email thread, form or voicemail and works out what's meant.

In the example: Works out the client wants a will and a trust, at a flat fee, signed before June.

  2. The binder

Your firm's knowledge: fee schedules, templates, past matters, policies. It looks things up instead of guessing, so it can say “I don't know.”

In the example: Pulls your engagement-letter template, your fee schedule and the conflict list.

  3. The hands

The tools it's allowed to use: email, calendar, Clio, QuickBooks, TaxDome. They turn answers into finished work.

In the example: Drafts the letter in Clio, queues the conflict check and holds a signing time.

  4. You're the boss

You decide what it does alone, what needs approval, and when a person takes over.

In the example: An attorney reviews the engagement letter before anything reaches the client.

When you tried ChatGPT, you met the brain. The value comes when all four work inside how your business already runs.

Where AI saves time and money.

AI replaces costs you already pay. None of this work is billable.

Intake and engagement
One name typed into three systems, then a letter drafted from scratch and chased for a signature.
What AI does about itEnters it once, queues the conflict check and drafts the letter for review.
Document chasing
Three reminders for one W-2 in busy season.
What AI does about itSends reminders on a schedule and tracks what's missing.
Retyping between systems
From the portal into QuickBooks, from email into the practice system.
What AI does about itMoves it between the tools you already use.
Status updates and after-hours inquiries
“Any update on my matter?” mid-afternoon. The 8 pm inquiry a competitor answers first.
What AI does about itAnswers from your records and replies to new inquiries at any hour.
  • In an average 8-hour day, lawyers capture about 3.0 billable hours (38% utilization).1

  • Only 40% of 500 law firms answered a prospective client's call; 33% replied to email.2

  • Legal, tax and compliance professionals expected AI to free about 4 hours a week within a year.3

How we work.

  1. Step 1: Free AI briefing

    Learn. Free, 20–30 minutes.

A plain-English lesson on what AI can and can't do for a professional firm.

  2. Step 2: Profit Leak Audit

    Find. About 10 days.

We find where your firm loses time. Find 3× the fee or it's refunded; the fee is credited to a build signed within 30 days.

  3. Step 3: Custom build

    Build. Quoted in writing.

Custom software inside the tools you already run, with a review step.

  4. Step 4: Ongoing support

    Improve. Billed monthly.

We keep it running and adjust it as your tools and rules change.

After the audit you choose: do it yourself, hand the plan to anyone, or have us build it.

See what's in the audit

Questions firms ask first.

Is the free briefing a sales pitch?

No. It's a lesson on what AI can and can't do for a professional firm. If there's a fit, we'll explain the audit at the end. If not, you keep everything you learned.

Is this an app we subscribe to?

No. We build custom software around how your business runs, and connect the tools you already use.

Is our data safe?

We keep as little as possible outside your own tools. Training rules depend on each AI service's terms, so we name every service and its terms in writing before work starts, and you decide.

Can it make things up in front of a client?

Nothing it drafts reaches a client until a person at your firm approves it. It answers from your documents, shows its sources and routes to a person when it isn't sure.

Does it work with Clio, QuickBooks, Applied Epic…?

Usually. We build around the software you already pay for. If a tool has no way to connect, the audit tells you before you spend anything on a build.

What does it cost?

The briefing is free. Audit and build prices are quoted in writing.
